SPERDVAC is entirely powered by volunteers. There is no staff behind the scenes. Every program, every decision, every task necessary for preserving and encouraging classic radio theatre is because volunteers contribute their time and their gifts and do the work.
If you share our love and devotion to classic radio and new audio theatre, here’s a brief list of how you can join the SPERDVAC team as a volunteer:
- Become a “dubber” – a preservation-specialist who digitizes classic radio content from source reels and discs. Training and equipment available.
- Archive Assistant – Help us maintain our index of source materials, including audio files and scripts.
- Outreach – Enable SPERDVAC to be present at conferences and conventions of like-minded folks so that we can continue to grow our membership.
- Join the Board of Directors – Elections occur annually for Director positions.
- Fundraising – Help identify and research potential donors and grantors.
